..at least that's what the commentator said.

I'm surprised there was such a little reaction from Nadal. Usually he'll have fists a flyin' after a point like that.

It turned the table completely for Nadal, if that point goes to Novak, he would have had a chance.
after that, 6-1 for nadal.

I liked his reaction aswell.

False.

It was certainly the best point at Monte Carlo this year, but the Nadal-Verdasco and Nadal-Federer thrillers at Aussie had many more exchanges that I would consider the best of 09 so far.

That point is awsome. I also think this point has been one of the best this year --->> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R-lvdvrw5yA

I mean honestly you look at these shots and begin to wonder if we are lucky enough to be in THE greatest era in tennis. I know Borg, Mac and JImmy were incredible - but this lot are amazing

this one too --> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fdnwqHUlY_k&feature=related

sorry for kinda getting the focus off the original video, It's a great point and it was in a crucial moment as well. So the original vid is probably the best point in my opinion as well. I am talking about the Nadal / Djokovic one.

I didn't find this rally particularly impressive. It was good, yeah, but didn't strike me as amazing. A lot of the shots both players were returning/retrieving, compared to other 'outstanding rallies' were fairly typical. Like I said, good, even great, but not 'incredible'. Best of 2009? Watch Verdasco vs Nadal or Federer vs Nadal highlights and you'll find a bunch of rallies more impressive than this one pretty easily, at least in my interpretation/viewing. Ideally, Djokovic should have anticipated a crosscourt return of the dropshot, though, as it'd be very difficult for Nadal to have hit one DTL in such a scrambling position just based on geometry.

While that was a great point, I thought there were others that were better. Nadal is just fantastic. He's in full stride.

There was a very similar rally between Nadal and Murray which ended in an angled cross court backhand winner from Nadal. I thought that one was better actually.

Thanks for posting that clip, that was a great point. At first I wasn't sure if it was in or out the way Djokovic knelt down and the lack of Nadal's usual exuberance. There were many excellent volleys and drop shots in that match. I think they both played well - very long games but worth every point for them.

Incredible get at the end of a long rally on an important point. Looked like a regular day at the office for rafa to me.

Pathetic, typical point. Nadal moonballing and Djokovic hitting 3/4 pace groundstrokes. Only highlight was the placement of the last 2 balls.

It is quite curious that a player whose game is consistently labelled as ugly and boring by some is involved in some of the most amazing shots and some the greatest matches of his time.

Just saying.
