Anyone recall a tournament in the past where a lucky loser made it to the final? Did one ever win a tournament?

The last time it occurred where the LL reached the final and won was in Zagreb last year where Sergiy Stakhovsky defeated Ivan Ljubicic.
i don't rmb when it occurred for the wta tour. i think the last time it occurred where the LL reached the final was in 2005 where Melinda Czink reached the finals in Canberra and lost to Ivanovic. I do not know when the last time a LL won the title though.

Any one remembers when?

Wasn't Caņas a LL when he reached the finals in Miami 2007?

and Ivanovic was a qualifier at that tournament. Ivanovic beat Czink in the final qualifying round. I don't know of any other time that the same people that played in qualifying played in a final.

Qualifier, I think....
I think he had to play qualies, lost in the last round, but made it to the main draw as a LL

Yeah, I remember reading headlines about Canas making the best of his lucky loser status by beating Federer.
