Safin just smashed a racket in his match against Dent and pulled out an original non-paint job Prestige. Just thought that was interesting.

Hey thomas, I've written you an e-mail about the AeroPro Drive +. When you have a chance, could you read and respond to it please? Thanks.

Looks like he's quickly reverted back to his old ways, did not play smart against Dent but kudos to Dent for putting on the pressure all night long

Safin kept regripping his racquets, too. (and it seemed like he had a leather grip under the overgrip)

He's always redoing the tournagrips because as we all know Tournagrip shreds like mad. Yes it is a leather grip underneath it. As for Singlehandedandloving it, I never got any e-mail from you.

There are a few pics on Getty of Safin v. Dent. All of them show Safin w/LM paintjobs from what I can tell.

OK, I saw the match as well. No, it his regular Prestige Classic 600's with the LM paint. Nothing new. Yes, he's constantly regrippping with Tournagrip, and using basic athletic tape to finish with, which always covers the little brown collar piece that's right above the handle on the PC 600 frames. Note--these are absent on the Classic Mids, Prestige Tours, iPrestiges, etc. Probably no reason for this, just what he's done for years. A big roll of athletic tape is much easier to keep up with than a bunch of little red TG finishing tapes. Plus, I doubt Tournagrip is paying him anything, so why should he promote?

I now see that Safin is the reason why there is shortage of PC 600 world-wide. BTW, how in the hell do his huge hands fit on those shortish grips of PC? I can hardly fit mine and I don't have big hands.

well, tws sells rolls of finishing tape. all finishing tpe is is electrical tape. i got a roll cause its easier to carry than a whole bag of indi. tapes from a tourna 30 pack.

i do the same and or use the atheltic grip. i wrap a large part of it with finishing tape so it doesnt flap at the eend

I remember being short on money and using electrical tape as an extra overgrip. Little moisture, decent tack, and easy to dry but the sun heated the grip very fast. =) I never made THAT mistake again.
