Thoughts? I'll spare everyone the agony and state that I am a 3.5 rated player. :)

Ya, sorry about the length - I am too incompetent/lazy to edit it.

Best play is probably from 8:00 - 12:00.

Wow, no more comments/criticism so far? Either that's good or I just suck...

Or, you already provided your rating so they lost all interest.

You definitely should not have done that^^^. What you should have done was to ask for a rating and then replied back with nothing but insults to those who'd given you a rating less than 5.0. Thus, in your case, you would have to insult everybody.

What you'd get back from your insults will be lengthy explanations and back-and-forth bantering on why your techniques and YOU are inferior, and neither is worthy of anything higher than a 3.0.

That way, the forum gets to degrade you as a human being (we like to do this!), but the "good" side effect is that we will also discuss your techniques as well. It's like a win-win situation!!! Everyone gets something out of the experience!!!

Anyway, I only looked at the first couple of minutes. You have lively feet, which is good. This is why you should try to move to the ball and hit it on the rise, rather than on the way down after the bounce.

You hit often with a neutral stance, so you already have good shoulder turns. On your forehand, try to extend out your left hand on the take back to give you more balance. Because of the neutral stance, you should try to have more linear momentum (weight on your left leg, then shift to your right leg as you make contact).

The video is hard to see, it needs more up closed up angles.

All kidding aside, I would venture to say that because of your title, a lot of forumites are bypassing this thread without opening it. That's why this thread has such low view counts.

I'd bet if you start a new thread with the same video, but with a title like "video of my game - rating and critique please" you would get more interests and response.

I'll just start a new one titled "My strokes - 5.5: I dare you to challenge my rating!"

That should generate some traffic!
