Okay guys, few questions here. Summer is coming closer and its time to hit the clay courts. a Friend of mine asked me would I like him to be my coach for a relatively low price. 45$ for 6 hours a week. The only thing I'd like to focus on right now is my two-handed backhand, which gives up on me when I have to reach for a hard flat shot on this specific wing. I always seem to give the opponent a realitvely short ball that is enough for the opponent to take control of the point. Here my friend could be useful as I could ask him to help me get my backhand in shape. I will be putting few videos of my backhand out there in youtube because I think your experties will be needed as well.
This summer I will be also doing lot of aerobic training and I'd like to know your opinions on how tennis aerobic/anaerobic training should be like. All ready routines are also gratefully welcome. I am 6'4" feet tall(184cm) and weight 140 pounds(65kg), so losing weight is not in my sight. Thanks in advance!

First, 6'4" is much taller than 184 cm :)
Next, I wish I could donate you some of my pounds (6', 200 lbs)...both of us would benefit from that...

>_> I just used some kinda of converter and it said 6.04 feet so I thought it means 6' 4". Oh well, I could use few extra pounds ;D I used to weight 62kg before but after 2 months of gym it got up to 65kg.
Maybe you should hit your backhands higher over the net to achieve depth.
Just how much does your friend/coach know about tennis?
At your height, you should consider more slicing off your backhand, since lotsa low balls coming your way.
But mainly, hit your shots 4' over the net, and they go deep.
Oh, and at your height, why not play first strike end the point type of tennis, since the court is small for you, and you should have lots of power.
You WILL fill in sometime, so don't play defensive, backcourt tennis.

It is probably because I have more of a defensive mental set while playing. I let opponent play his game and change my play according to his. My friend has played tennis for 8 years and is around around 4.5-5.0 and has taken some coaching courses.
My current private coach who has hit with me for 10 hours now worked on shortening my backswing on my backhand side and it has worked allright so far. The reason why I want to run faster is that I can cover my backhand side better and possibly run around the forehand if needed. I used to slice my backhand a lot varying the spin but my friend claimed that it ain't gonna make me better so I started working on making my 2hbh more of a weapon. I am far from making it a weapon but I am getting there.
