from eurosport:

Once out of the tournament, he will follow the progress of the others and, as a man who rates elegance over power, hope that Federer will win his battle with Rafael Nadal to triumph in Paris at last.

"If he (Federer) does it, I'll be at least as happy as he will be," Santoro said.

Hopefully Nadal will realise that no-one wants him to win and will subsequently retire.

lol. It's like when the press asked fed. who the locker room wanted to win the 06 final and he was like: ME! Classic fed. moment. :)

Probably from tiredness...

don't forget the altitude...paris is at least 3 meters above sea level

Santoro actually favors Nadal and loves Nadal's style but he says if Fed somehow miraculously wins he'll be happy for him.

I agree. He deserves a lot, even though he hasn't been practicing. All he needs is a coach and I guarentee another grand slam will be his.

How is Santoro a genius?

In infinitely more ways than you and I will ever be on court. I'm not surprised Santoro supports Federer, cos if you ask me, Federer still plays a kind of... classical game? Well relative to say Djoker and Nadal anyway.

Well interpreted there, but I disagree. :)

Nadal cares more about people who DO want him to win and he doesn't give a **** about the people who don't.

Not after Roddick beat him 6-2 6-2 6-2 at the US open 2008
