An excellent short 6 minute clip of early Nadal to whet your appetite for this weeks Roland Garros. A lot of emotion and expression from both players too. Most of us have probably seen this, but for those that havn't it's well worth seeing. If this doesn't get you pumped for Roland Garros nothing will.

So Federer didn't win a single point in the entire match?

that's what I am talking about. You wonder how federer took a set in that match, obviously it was a rigged set.

So he did win some points? From that clip looks like it was triple bagel and no points at all for Fed.

Thanks for posting this. Nadal just CRUSHES every ball. This generates short ball replies which gives him an opportunity CRUSH yet another ball.

He is too tired these days to do that. I think 2005 Nadal would totally outvamos the new tired Nadal.

Fed hit some really nice winners in there.

Well it's only 6 min. so we can't be too sure about the no points, but highly unlikely that he took a set.

Well it was probably the first time thrill of going up 2 sets to 1 up against federer on clay. But you know how you take things for granted when they happen over and over and over and over again. :)

I'm glad everyone is enjoying the clip, so is everyone pumped already?

You have to love that celebration at 4.05.

When Nadal hits the ball it sounds like he's trying to scare the crap out of Federer, and I think it worked!

Honestly I think Nadal would win by a very wide margin v Bruguera like Kuerten did v Bruguera.

wow the video is so biased towards nadal. but yea he go so pumped up that match lol. the celebration at 4.05 is awesome. but man both those guys seemed to be playing better in 2005 than 2009 (at least shot wise) is that just my imagination or what?

If Nadal plays aggressively like that would be so awesome.

I have Nadal's green shirt from '05 :) The same type I mean.

Here's a much more balanced highlights reel, as opposed to the nadal highlights video posted by tennisplaya.

Certainly not as lopsided as you think, and Federer did win a set. And Federer is absolutely crushing the shots at times, but Nadal was a tremendous retriever.

Haha Fed doing ALL the wrong things. Slicing the backhand, using drop volleys. Coming in off aproach shots which don't cut it against Nadal.

He's learned a lot since then, but Nadal has also improved.
