That is a bummer that ESPN wont be carrying it. Luckily, my local cable provider just picked up TTC. :)

It's Memorial Day. Why wouldn't an American station not broadcast college softball, something that literally no one cares about, over world class tennis? Simple: softball is American and tennis is a foreigner sport even though some of the best players ever to play the sport hail from the US.

Go Figure.

is espn 360 free?

Depends on your ISP. If you've got Verizon (or a few others, I forget the specifics) then it is. Otherwise, nope!

Verizon and if you are on a college campus or on a military computer then it's free.

Actually, ESPN may not have a choice in the matter.

According to that article, Tennis Channel owns the rights to RG and they share them with ESPN (kind of like a sublease I suppose). It could be that TTC said, hey we'll take the day that everyone is home from work and build up our ratings and left ESPN out of the picture.

sports.yahoo.com. I don't know if it's free. Not all internet providers can access ESPN 360.

yes, if your IP signed up for it. Go to www.espn360.com and look for the 'test' box to see if your connection is eligible. I have AT&T dsl, which is under contract, but in the past some Comcast DSL people were left out in the cold. It varies from location to location it seems.

what does sexuality have to do with access to a website that streams tennis matches?

Try www.tennischannel.com after 2 AM West Coast time. I think they were streaming some matches too, but that's a vague memory and I could be very wrong on that one.

You are correct, details here - especially for those outside of North America with limited coverage.

It's not that big of a deal. It is just the 1st round after all.

Plus, I'm SURE they'll still find some way to show the Williams sisters matches, as always. :)
