What player has the biggest heart on tour. The player that will die for every point. The guy that plays soo intensely--you wonder why he hasnt given up yet. Here are some big time names on my list. These are in order.

1. David Ferrer
2. Rafael Nadal
3. Lleyton Hewitt
4. Fernando Gonzalez
5. Thiago Alves

I think this is the "basic" list..Some people can have one over the other--but to me these 5 are about as intense and willing to die for every point guys that ive seen. Their unwilligness to concede defeat is legendary.

Definately not as much as those listed before...but Roddick can be quite the fighter.

At the time Massu was inside top 15 he played EVERY point with a lot of heart, and won a lot of matches by reverting the result.
I dunno if he keeps playing like that now that he is 122th, but it was pretty similar to Gonzo, with the difference that it is a lot easier for Gonzo because when he gets angry (especially with the umpire in long matches) he gets to his prime instantly and blows his opponent off the court.

You put Ferrer above Hewitt?? Yet Hewitt has a better 5 sets record aswell as coming from 2 sets to love down on 5 seperate occasions.

Federer...because he's come back strong from some of he most devastating losses, he certainly deserves a mention.

Surprised no one has said Roddick. Watching the 2007 USO QF against Fed was truly inspiring.

This one goes to Nadal. Though Simon showed some heart in his first round win against a tough Odesnik player. As well as what he did many times last year including a really long match with Nadal in Madrid.

Federer came back from 2 sets down against Nadal in Miami 2005 and almost did it again at Wimbledon 2008. He was also able to win Wimbledon 2007 while being thoroughly outplayed by a far more talented opponent.

LOL at anyone picking Federer. I guess no one saw the 5th set final at the Australian Open, match against Murray in Indian Wells, match against Djokovic in Miami and Rome. Federer is as soft as it gets in extended matches for a big time player.
