Does it annoy anybody else that Novaks little brother gets so many wildcards to events that he is clearly not able to compete at? He has so far won a single match on the pro tour, futures level, and is only ranked in the 200s in the juniors. He went out first round in the Aus Open juniors, and in his only main draw ATP match he got all of 2 games against Jarkko Nieminen. Reminds me of Torrey Gambill a little bit when Jan Michael was in the top 20.

No it doesn't bother me. He is irrelevant. He may turn out to be a Jamie Murray. Novak has said before the real athlete in the family is the little guy.

a little bit, he has done nothing worth a WC so far, he should prove himself by himself.

It is not like he is getting WCs for every tournament like OP is trying to twist it.

He actually got only one WC for the main draw so far, in Thailand.

Not that many IMO. Besides, he had a good doubles win at the Serbian Open :)

Actually he is. Every match he has played in on the pro tour for every tournament has been as a wild card except for 1 instance where he attempted to qualify for a futures and lost first match.

Not to sound sarcastic or anything but what is the demand for a spot in Serbian Futures or any futures for that matter. There are a ton of futures in most countries across the world that him getting a wild card there is really not a big deal. He is Serbian after all..The Bangkok one well hey everyone deserves a wildcard once in a blue moon at a decent tournament.

Those are either futures or WCs for qualifying draw. Not really WCs for ATP tournament main draw.

Exactly. People are making a big deal over nothing.

entry:wcIn three of the tournaments you list he has played in Serbia and giving a WC is the prerogative of the country. Of the 8 WC at the FO, 6 are for players from France.

Is that a problem?

Lower Ranked French players have every right to be involed in their home slam.

But the "nothing" would still wipe the court with you...

Why was Young getting all the WC for a long time at much more serious tournaments?

I think Novak's littlest brother will do better than Marko

as much as i detest donald young, he deserved a few WC chances based on his jr slam performances

I agree, but the key word is a "FEW". He had more than a few and all of them for the real-deal tournaments...

If he didn't quit first with a "sore throat" ...
