This is do to his bad knees. I hate it when a favorite loses and then automatically makes a big media deal about an injury. I know he truly has issues but I still don't like it.

Why is this such a big deal?

He obviously will play, look what happened with Monfils, he was injured but he still played as he had a lot of points to defend and that was in the long term more important.

As Nadal has a lot points to defend, he will have to play regardless of his knees.

I think Tony is just preparing an excuse, because Rafa will play, but probably won't be ready.

Defending champion Rafael Nadal is in doubt for Wimbledon because of a knee injury, his coach said Saturday.

I think there's a big difference between in doubt.

The knee issues are nothing new, when you play a hard nose grinding game, you will have some bned-up knees. Rafa needs to cut out the smaller tourneys and focus on the majors, like Fed does and scores of others

Roger will be the most happiest guy in the world to see Nadal not there to defend Wimby.

Wouldn't this allow Fed a chance to regain the #1 ranking if Nadal doesn't show up to defend his Wimby points?

Hmm, I didn't know they handed out slam titles. Can I get one too? Where do I sign up?

Nadal will lose his ranking by the end of this season.

not winning the french and if he does not win wimbledon will take a huge amount of points off. i don't think he has too many points to defend in the fall so he might be safe. but then again i haven't done the calculations

Federer won't be playing Halle or Wimbledon either when he comes up with a phantom back injury after losing the final to Soderling (in devastating fashion) tomorrow.
