View Full Version : Feds career defining shot

I know great players hit magic shots when it matters, but was there a bigger single shot in ones career than Feds forehand against Haas. Let's put it in context. The morning before his match against Haas. Fed wakes up knowing his nemisis is out of the GS he has a never won, one short of equalling Pete! He finds himself 2 sets to 0 down, 3-4 in the 3rd, 30-40 break point. Now, after all he's been through in the last 2 years to hit that inside out forehand I think refired his career. If he misses that shot, it could have crushed a fragile Federer. Imagine losing to Hass and giving up the best chance you had to complete the career slam!!

Any others?

He finds himself 2 sets to 1 down, 3-4 in the 3rd, 30-40 break point.

That's impressive.

Man,that took some serious wilanders, especially give the fact that Fed's FH was shaky that day up until that moment.

That was almost a MP as Tommy would have served for the match if he converted.

Simply, this is why Fed is the GOAT.

Although it didn't end well for him, the running backhand down the line on match point against Nadal at Wimbledon was impressive.
