Holes or if they are worn out on the bottom so much in an area that it looks like a nylon stocking.

Holes...and when I walked on a freshly stained deck last weekend in socks. Bummer because I really loved those socks. :(

It depends.
It depends on how much you value your feet.
It depends if you want an excuse to miss some practice time or a match because you have blisters.

Holes.

I use older socks for practice and use the newer ones for playing matches.

When they get holes. No elastic annoys me so much but my mum doesnt think its a good enought reason to get some new ones :|

I don't have separate socks for tennis? But in general when they have large holes in the bottom.

I couldn't initially believe the price of Thorlo socks. Who would buy them?
But after years of no blisters and cushioned feet, why would I play without them?

This is funny, just yesterday my wife throw away a couple of tshirts and some socks, basically because (she said)they were disgusting! I could have use them untill the end of the year at least...

I picture you in the "when they are slightly stained" group, and when you see all of these folks with holes in there socks, you might fall over in a faint.

Holes. Not just tennis socks, any socks.
