How could he play with it? Is it possible the Kobra isn't a crummy racquet?

It might be the real thing, but I can't count the strings from any recent pics. The kBlade is 18x20 while the Kobra is 16x19. Do you have a closer pic?

i believe that its the real racquet. Its definitely bigger than the k93 and the k90 he used to hit with.

He(Tsonga) never used any K90 or K Blade93 frame... More like updates to his PJ'd "hyper 95" sticks...

Just my $.02...

Hi everybody,

First post :)

From what i've heard, from french pro stringer who's working in RG:

Jo was not happy with wilson's work on his frames, last winter he tried and fell in love with babolat APD and use it a lot in training sessions. But he's still under contract with Wilson until the end of 2009.
The facts are :
- He switched to a Kobra tour mold (customized of course).

The rumor :

- He will switch to a Babolat endorsement at the end of the year and will use an APD (or APDC ....)

Regarding that the kobra tour is the most similar frame from wilson to APD, the switch is quite logical.
But it's still very surprising regarding the huge differences the charac of his former frame and frames like Kobra tour or APD.
Very huge switch....

Hope it helps.

I thought that this post was quite interesting... Very Interesting indeed...

I dont get it. He said that the Kobra was a tentative racquet for the French to help his groundstroke depth, but now he's sticking with it? He better not become a Baseline basher.

It is the real thing, take a look at the pix from the FO. The frame is much thicker then the KB, the string pattern is different, and the throat has the aero shape rather then the traditional shape of the KB.
