Depends on your foot shape and what type of court you play on. If you have a narrow foot, the Genius is great, but doesn't work well for those with low arches or wider feet. The Barricade II and Barricade CLS offer a great contoured fit for those with medium width feet and medium height arches. They're also lighter than the Barricade V's. If you have a wide foot, then the BV is the way to go, even though they take a little while to break in. The Feathers are very comfy, but quite narrow this year and the arch support is slightly lower than the previous models.

I always wondered - are the feathers more cushioned than the barricades? I was about to try the barricades but I usually go with the cushion feeling instead of the structured feeling...

The Feather II's are sweet, not as narrow as the III's.

No, they're not. They're lighter, but not heavily cushioned. If anything, the Barricade is more cushioned, though your perception of cushioning also depends on your weight. A more dense cushion material may feel stiff to a lightweight person. The Barricade CLS and Barricade II are slightly less dense in the cushioning, so they feel "softer" than the Barricade V, even though the actual cushioning is similar. The Feather definitely has less, as it's designed for clay courts (although it can be used on hard), which have less impact on the feet of the wearer.

Tirend III, it's extremely comfy, but lack serious forefoot support...

Why limit yourself to adidas?
Try a pair of Gel Resoltution II's, from Asics, a company that values engineering cushioning into their design.

Feathers!!

Definitely Feathers. The soles don't last long on hard courts, however.

Feathers live up to their name :) but as bud said, the durability kind of sucks for hard court players.

There really is no Adidas shoe that is for absolute comfort. Brands like Prince, Asics, and even Nike are very comfortable.

I disagree. The Feathers are ultra comfortable right out of the box.

Bought the feathers last week to try out because they seemed cooler than the Nike Vapor VIs, my regular shoe. Super comfortable out of the box and first couple days of playing in them. Now they've stretched out a bit and I have to try hard to get them tight enough, when I do the material over the toebox bunches up weird, makes it uncomfortable, but the middle of the shoe remains kind of tight so its not easy to go with 2 socks. The lateral support also feels like its gone now, and there's very little cushioning under the toes, so after a few days on the hard courts my feet feel it. Maybe they're good on clay but I don't like them at all for hard courts.

The Feathers don't have the six-month guarantee. But I never had issues with them on hard courts; they're not Barricades by any stretch, but they're fine if you're not overly hard on shoes. They aren't heavily cushioned, but they're very low to the ground and light.

And why just look at adidas? What a silly question. Is there another brand? :)

Just played a couple of hours in the Barricade CLS, and they're REALLY comfortable. I wouldn't use them in serious tournament play, at least on hard courts, but I was surprised at the comfort. If they're the right shape for you, they're well worth a try. Sort of like a lighter, softer Barricade II.
