I just read it on SI . Only the 2nd player in the last 35 years not to defend the title. I thought he would play through the pain I guess it's worse than everyone thought.

Are they going to redo the draw or will they give the #1 slot to a lucky loser?

Wow how many points does he lose? Now it will be an easy no.1 going for Fed.

DelPot's #1, Blake moves to #5, and Kiefer moves to Blake's place @ #17. Thialgo Alves is the lucky loser who will take Kiefer's previous slot in the draw.

I don't understand, was he injured or something? Supposedly he was seen practicing during the time this tournament was going on. :???:

Do you really need to revive every thread from years past? There is a quicker way to learn tennis history. JFGI, anyway.

Is anyone playing at all, or is everyone dropping out of FO and WO ??

But it would make more sense if my point was given some context.

Is it possible that Nadal might have been afraid of losing early again in Wimbledon because he was beaten badly in FO 2009, and that Federer was on crazy-good form?

before reading this thread and realizing it was from 2009, I was wondering "wth would Nadal drop out of WC before RG?"

whoever revived this thread better have a pretty good reason
