If Pete had his own clothing label with Nike using his initials "PS" at the peak of his career, would it have done as well as "RF" is doing now? Maybe better?

It's never too late to start in order to find out.

it would not have done as well for a number of reasons. first, during pete's time, there weren't many forums around to build up the hype through discussions. second, there weren't online video sites like youtube through which people could track his career. this again would have impeded the hype build-up.
lastly, pete doesn't seem like a commercial guy. i think he would probably be too uncomfortable sporting his own clothing line, WHILE he was still a player. but that's just based on how he acts during interviews (very shy, uncomfortable, awkward).

federer's much more fashion oriented. pete's like an old fashioned jock!

RF: you mean Ralph Furley from Three's Company? :)

i actually dont think it would have done so well - no disrespect to Pete but he never was stylish! he was a supreme tennis player but that is about it
part of the appeal of RF line is that it embodies style - something that Roger has...

Pete liked to keep it simple and clean. Roger is more stylish and debonair.

Not sure but I don't think so. Pete had no real style.

Yeah, to agree with the above posts, Pete was never a flashy or style oriented guy. PS would not have done well as the RF logo or even the Rafa Bull logo. But who needs style when you have millions of dollars and 14 grand slams ;) lol
