View Full Version : Deja Vu

At the French Open Robin Soderling met with Rafa in the 4th round of competition. Rafa was, of course, the overwhelming favorite to win the entire tournament. Rafa had also demolished Robin in their most recent previous match in Rome to the tune of love and 1.

The rest is history.

Come this Sunday - a possible matchup could again see the overwhelming favorite to win Wimbledon matched up again in the 4th round against the same Robin Soderling who was demolished by Roger in their previous meeting at the Frech Open.

I doubt any of the odds makers take such anecdotal things into consideration but you know what they say about history...

Plus...no one beats Robin Soderling 11 times in a row. :)

deja vu, all over again?? :)

Rafa played Le Sod on clay in Rome and on clay at the FO. In Fed's case, it was clay, but now it is grass! Surely, that will upset your jinx!

If Fed beats you 10 times in a row, he will never lose to you again. :)

Deja vu might happen already in 3rd round when Fed plays Kohlschreiber.

Yeah well, Federer's draw isn't too easy, but I think Fed's handles any draw easiest on Grass. No worries for me.

hehe...Well I'm a Fed fan but the comparison is scary. The only flaw is the surface...but hey...it's a good story line...at least until the scores turn in.

But both of them have one more player to get past first so good luck to both of them.

Maybe but the deja vu is killed ina fiew ways

Rafa came off of a loss in Madird, Fed comes off a win in Paris

Fed doesn't look burned out physically or mentally

They both have to win their third round matches..

This is freaking grass...

When did Federer play Kohlschreiber at Wimbledon, or even the French?

I'm not flaming, but I don't understand what you mean.

Maybe he means Kohlschreiber beat Djoker at the French, so he's the next "giant killer". Even so, it isn't exactly the same.

I think Malakas has the easier and better explanation. :)

Malakas did you know that your name stands for "Strong" in my native tongue?

No, he can't mean that. The differences are so staggering between the two that he'd have to be insane to make a statement like that. He's a certified troll, but he's not dumb.

Didn't you say Kohlschreiber was no threat in Fed's "joke of a draw"
