According to Tennislink, there aren't very many of these (at all) in the area.
Did I just move to the Siberia of tennis?

Man, I miss North Carolina...and its tennis tournaments 2x / month, minimum.

Any 4.5+ players in the Pittsburgh area looking for hitting partners?

I don't have $200/m to join a racquet club (Ex: Oxford Athletic).

Well, if this was Siberia, there might some Sharapova's around - but I CERTAINLY don't see that here, lol.

I give up.

The WV Open will be held in a few weeks. This is in Wheeling and many people from Pittsburgh will go down there. This is a nice tournament. There is also a tournament in Sept at North Allegheny HS. AMD is trying to get the tournament schedule put back together. There have been 4 already this year that been completed and one that is going on this week.

The 4.5 Men's league has few more matches left. If interested, I can hook you up with a team to play the last few matches.

There used to be more tournaments around (like 10 to 15 a year) but they were at the private clubs and these clubs didn't feel like running them anymore. The tournaments are starting to go to public facilities where the costs can be kept in check.

I play at 4.0 to 4.5 level. I can give you some names and numbers for people to hit with. Let me know the area you are living.
