I saw momtogrif's post about her best tennis vacation being in the Cayman's so I thought I'd get some more feedback from others. For me, my best tennis vacation was Indian Wells, we rented a nice condo with some courts, got up early to play a few sets, then went to watch the pros play all day. This was about ten years ago, saw Rafter, Sampras, Agassi, etc., but the best match I saw was the Williams Sisters against Hingis and Lubic (?) in doubles, I was sitting about three feet from the court.
Back in the mid-90s, my buddies (and girlfriends) went to La Quinta at Palm Springs to play doubles on all their court surfaces. In the morning, we started out on grass; after lunch, it was clay, and before dinner, their stadium hardcourt. All of our sets ended up at either 6-4 or 7-5. We even played some singles. And all the court time was free back then. Now, sadly, they tore out all of the grass---just hardcourts and some clay now, and they charge you.

My best tennis vacation was in Kauai. I was lucky in that there were a couple other strong 4.5/5.0 players staying at my hotel (Hyatt) and we all would hit together and play some really good sets. Also, the ball machine rate there is very cheap at only $15/hour.

I have to say the best tennis holday ive been on was in Australia. A beautiful oceanfront location called Casuarina on Qld/NSW border. Perfect place if you like the beach and tennis. This is one of those organised set ups with small groups so very personal coaching with some great tips. The website is www.playtennis.com.au . I have also been to LaManga in Spain which was also good :neutral: but did not compare to Casuarina in oz, we had an absolute ball there! :)

I am going with the gentleman who recently posted with pics of his tennis vacation on the beach in Croatia. My wife even thinks this is high on our list for September 2010.

I donīt know if i can call it vacation, but it was almost like that.
Me and my wife went down to Australia 2001 for a working holiday and stayed there (Melbourne, Sth Yarra) for 8 months.
I played tennis almost every day as i worked as club pro in a big tennis center so i had coaching lessons for about 3-4 hours a day and then 3-4 hours was "hit with a pro" where guests came and paid the club just to have a hit with me.
I also played on grass a couple of times down there and also got the chance to play on Melbourne Park, the AO venue.
Here are some pics (not so good quality, those pics are scanned from "normal" photos;
