Ballistec 1.3 vs Vapor 5's fit

I currently wear Vapor 5's size 9. Fits perfect in the width but a little roomy in the toe. (it's a little long)

I was thinking of switching to the Ballitec 1.3's. How does the fit compared.

I heard that I should order half size down.

I tried Barricades once and didn't like them because they felt bulky. Are the Ballistecs anything like the Barricades?

Be careful about ordering a half size down in the 1.3s. Several people here (including me) have reported best fit with their regular size.

Have you worn the Vapors?

If the Ballistecs fit wider than Vapors then it would make sense for me. But I usually get size 9 for most shoes. I fit 9 perfectly on width but toe length is about 1 cm too long

I heard Barricades fit wide but when I tried them on I didn't like the fit. I thought they were too wide

No, never worn the Vapors. My feet are slightly wider in the forefoot, although I do take Mediums in casual and dress shoes.

I wear a size 9 in V5s too. Got the 9 in 1.3s and had to return as my heel felt like it was slipping out of the shoe during tennis. Changed for an 8.5 in the end and although the width felt a tad narrower i felt more nimble on court.
If anything i think the V5s are slightly narrow for me and since they fit perfect width wise for u, the narrower width of the 8.5s should'nt be a problem.
Ballistics has a softer, more glove like fit than Barricades imo.

Ditto that. Went a .5 size smaller to start and ultimately found them too small and confining. My regular size fit best.

The Ballistecs are softer and more glove-like than the Barricades. I find them a little warmer as well... not too bad once I got the right size. I believe the Ballistec 9 will fit larger than the Vapor V size nine. If the Vapor's are at all roomy, I would probably go to an 8.5 in the Ballistec. If they fit a bit tight, like they did for me, stay with size 9 for Ballistec.

You can certainly order both sizes from TW, try them on in the home for fit, and return the pair that don't work out.

I was wearing Vapor IV than I bought last year Vapor V and after 4 matchs I've got corn on my achilles, so luckly I bought 2 pairs of IV ones more. This year I bought Vapor VI (mainly because of outsole which look like more for clay) and... sadly after 3 matchs I've got corn in middle foot, so I bought CB 1.3 half size smaller than Vapors (as nike guide suggested) and ... I loved them from first view (wear :) ). It was clay court version, and now I'm waiting for this new color White/Yellow with snadard multicourt outsole for playing on hard court. I was comparing length of Vapor and CB and actually thay are indentical even though CB are half size smaller. GOOD LUCK!!!

I wear the same size (9) and fit that size in both the Vapors and Ballistec 1.3. The Vapors for me seem to fit more comfortable and stretch in the forefoot vs. the Ballistecs that are more narrow. Be sure to order the same size 9 because that is what you will fit. The Ballistecs will be more cushioned and softer than the Barricades. They do weigh a significant amount of weight but once you have them on you do not notice.
