Backhand better than forehand?

Hey everyone,

I have a two handed backhand and feel it is better than my forehand. Sometimes as I get to a ball, I will run to my backhand since I feel I can get more power and control with it.

In other sports, such as hockey and baseball, I'm left handed. In golf I'm a lefty but was forced to learn being right handed.

Does anyone else have similar experiences in tennis or am i the odd man out?

You're not an oddman at all. I hit my fh 10x times better than my bh, but after some practice and warm-up and get my 2hbh line up, I enjoy hitting it more than the FH. Remember a big part of sport is about accomplishment. :)

i have the same experience. i used to learn swords and stufff when i was young so my onehanded backhand is better than my forehand due to the fact that i used to withdraw swords with great force :P

Reality in all sports, one side better than the other.
But don't matter, a good opponent learns when to pick on your weaker side, so exposes your weakness, be hit forehand or backhand.
At our level, better to work on improving BOTH sides, and all the other strokes.
