I want to get a multifiliment reel that isn't too expensive. something under 100 if possible for a full reel. Any suggestions? I found wilson sensation on tw for under 100 but are there any others out there that are good strings?

The Wilson Sensation 660 reel will be the best choice. My only other suggestion is Gamma Live Wire. We have this in a 360 reel for just under $100.

Sensation would be my rec also, it's not a super high end multi, but if you break them on a regular basis, it's a pretty good value. Multi reels are generally cost prohibitive for me, though...

Pro Supex Maxim Touch or Prince Syn Gut Multi would be my recommendations.

Yes, PS MT would be an excellent choice. Too bad TW can't/won't stock it.

Agreed with Pro Supex Maxim Touch. Very nice string and it comes out to 5-6 dollars a set when you buy a reel. Too bad TW doesn't carry Pro Supex strings...

Get a reel of Wilson Reaction 16

I like Maxim Touch a lot (I've played the 17ga). Do note that it's a low-powered string.

Reaction 16 is a very nice string, too, imo. (Read the Customer Feedback.) Didn't know it came in reels...

All due respect, but I've never thought much of Sensation. Loses its playability much too quickly, ime. There are many better multis out there for the money.

alright, i'll have to look into those options. sounds like i'll have to try out some maxim touch. I was feeling a little iffy about sensation.

I string for other people every now and then, and i have lots of strings, but none of them are well known brands like wilson or prince.

pro supex maxim touch, HEAD RIP Control. I favored HEAD RIP control over maxim touch.

you can get some technifibre multifeel for 125 but not off tw but the prince syn gut multi is a nice crisp multi.

LOL I like both and am now preferring a hybrid of MT mains and Rip crosses - plays great and IMO better than either one by itself.

One thing, if you are a string breaker at all the MT 17ga will not last very long, I prefer the 16 gauge. Also the 17 gauge is a LOT softer than the 16 so there will be a different feel, the 16 feels somewhat "crisper" and I prefer that, especially when I use Rip crosses.

I use poly for mains. this will be my cross string. I usually get 16 anyways.

I just want to let you know that there are some of us Wilson Sensation lovers too (not many on these boards though). Besides mee, I know atleast two of my tennis buddies who love Sensation strings. As far as I know it is one of the best selling tennis strings still so many do like it.
