I think he will. This is NADAL he plays at 100 percent even when hes not 100 percent. Nadal has been well rested and should use montreal and cincinnati as playgrounds for the US OPEN. Nadal will be 100 percent come then after those two tourneys.

highly unlikely that he will be 100% or near 100% for the U.S. open. He made some costly decisions during the clay court season and he will be paying the price for a while.

He will just have to take it slow and hopefully get back to some level of normality starting next year.

I hope he is.. But highly doubt he will be.. I expect a 4th round or quarters exit for him.. Coming off tendenitis problems and right into the hardcourt season and having to play on a hardcourt where he is at his worst at due to the speed of the surface and the surface itself which will only damage his knees more isnt a good sign for Nadal.

I doubt he'll be at a hundred percent. He's going to give it his all as always but he'll be a bit rusty for sure.

That depends. If he loses before the 4th round then he's definitely not 100%. If loses in the quarters or semis then he's close to 99% but never 100%.

depends on if he wins or loses

Im waiting for Drakulie:s verdict:twisted:
My personal opinion is ..who knows?? He withdrew from Wimbledon even though he practiced like a maniac before and during Wimbledon...

Depends if he has a drug suspension like some here believe(I don't), he won't play at all.
If he has a serious injury he can never be a 100% when he returns. The first two tournaments are going to be a bit below standard.
But even Nadal at 100% has a very small chance of winning the US open so who really cares? It is not like this would be the reason why he will not win the US open this year, it is the fact that there are better players than Nadal on this surface. I would favor Federer, Djokovic, Murray,Roddick, Davydenko and even Blake on this surface. (I would also have included Nalbandian, but he is injured)

This is Rafa just making excuses already incase he doesn't win it....if he does win it he'll be in "great condition"

I dont care, if he plays USO,then he plays 100% and if he says he didnt played 100% during USO and participated, its his problem.
(just like for everyone)

Good post but it doesn't change the fact that he is likely in worse off tennis level than right before the australian 2009.
