If you go to usa babolat site they have duralast listed as a string so i would assume so!

Terrible string, IMO. No feel, horrendous tension retention. Can't say I'm pleased to hear this news.

Although, on second thought, it'll be interested to see if Nadal still will market PHT after Duralast is released in the US.

I am pretty sure Babolat will still have Nadal market PHT as it has built quite a reputation.

Does Nadal market PHT or does TW just put it on here to sell more string ?

i think TW just puts it as a marketing tool.. i think in europe babolat advertises as he uses duralast and roddick uses PHT

I think Roddick has much better selling potential in the US though. I can't say Nadal can top him in that sense. Might be interesting to have Nadal market Duralast and see how this awful string sells.

Duralast is in the European and English websites but not on the US one... I wonder if it will be totally overpriced for the performance.

I would be interested just to see how long it lasts.

Since I have never heard a single person ever in my life say anything good about it, I can't imagine it would be any good to play with.

As per the car battery remark above, it seems sensible to me that Babolat cannot sell Duralast in the US without first striking a licensing deal with the auto parts company. Otherwise, it's a lawsuit waiting to happen.

Its OK. It does loose tension quit quickly and you can find it on auction sites already.

I just put Duralast in my Prestige Pro and I am absolutely in love with it. I had my USTA 18 Advanced Sectionals Tournament and not one of those college kids could return my Slice or Kick serve. Spin is ridiculous. I'm going to buy a reel of it. I did get the word though from my local pro shop that he's going to have DuraLast in stock probably at the end of August beginning of September along with Revenge and the new Pure Storm Tour GT. He said that Duralast is replacing Ballistic Polymono.

I've heard it is works well in a hybrid. Any thoughts on that?

Duralast is a great string when it comes to spin and control. It is very stiff, holds tension probably worse than any other poly I've tried. Last about 1 match and is done. However when it's fresh I am not sure I've ever hit with anything I like as well. It's easy to see why Nadal likes it, and also why he has to have so many racquets strung at tournaments.

Nope... Nadal is advertising PHT in Europe.

Nadal&Nike likes it.

He's the only one I've heard so far say anything good about it. He wasn't very precise. Simply said he liked it.

Actually come to think of it. The guy plays with exactly the same setup as Nadal except that he's got the APDC and not the original APD. 55lb Duralast. It's in his sig.

You must have clicked on the UK english site, cause if you select USA from the mini flag bar on the bottom, duralast is not on the strings list

Maybe Nadal's playing with a paintjob, and it's actually plush Bab VS natural gut, not PHT ;) They already paint the racquets, why not just paint the strings.....

Nanshiki

Nadal is one of the ONLY players who is using a string besides the one that his sponsors claim he is... as well as a painted racquet.

Does Davydenko also use it?

I like it, it just doesn't take long at all for the tension to really loosen up

But longer or shorter than PHT?

I'm using PHT 18 right now. Which felt really great at first but after 4 hours of playing tme the strings are starting to move around. -.-

Fortunately for me I didn't pay much for it as my stringer got it mixed up with Alpha Vengeance 17, gave me the wrong string.

Having said that, I really like it, if it weren't for its inability to hold tension for a decent amount of time.

As I said before. I actually really like this string when fresh. It's not what I normally use but I do like it a great deal. It lasts a good bit shorter in terms of tension than PHT. It is also lower powered and much stiffer than PHT. Really the two are not much alike at all IMO except that they are made by Babolat and are Yellow. Duralast only lasts about 1-2 hours max before becoming unplayable.

Judging from your review of this string, I should be able to walk right up to my stringer and exchange a 660 reel for a bag of Tesco economy rice.

Seriously, how much does this string cost? I'm annoyed that I even had to pay half the price for my PHT because of its lousy tension issues. 1-2 hours? That's absolutely nuts!

Babolat, I never thought I would say this but... you fail!

Shorter, i do like the feel but the more I play with it this summer the less I like it only because of the tension loosening up after about 2 practices
