Milos Raonic, an 18 year old Canadian, has taken full advantage of his qualy WC by beating Gabashvili and Benneteau to take a place in the main draw.

Anyone know anything about this kid?

I heard he's the next Frank Dancevic...

...ok, really i know nothing about him, but that's 2 decent wins so I wish him all the best in the main draw!

Perhaps the catalyst for a new wave of good canadian tennis players? Nestor is good, but too bad he sucks in singles though

Let's hope Milos is better than that.

Thanks for recognizing my achievement. I will post pics when I'm finished with the tournament.

Thats awesome...The kid has decent results in the futures, but no one expected him to take out two seasoned journeymen.

I saw him play last year at a challenger event, taking Xavier Malisse to two tiebreaks... very impressive mental game and big serve.

so maybe he goes through Roddick(5) QF, Nadal(3) SF, and Federer(1) F, to be the lowest ranked US Open champ ever. and then i woke up. although that would be talked about forever

I am in Montreal and watched the 1st set yesterday with Llodra. Very tall, huge serve. Good movement for a guy that tall; decent groundies. Very humble in the post-match interview.
