I just noticed that their match tomorrow has been canceled according to Tennis.com. Does anyone know why? I've never heard of a match being "canceled".

From what I recall, Soderling had to drop out of his match last week in Washington D.C. with Del Potro because of an elbow injury, so the reason may be the same for this.

Indeed, I was very eager to see Soderling in action. Damn shame he's out on injury

I heard that the injury isn't too serious, he should be back in action for Cincinatti.

I thought Sod pulled out prior to the tourney? In that case, why a w/o to Kohly??? My draw shows Kohly Melzer instead.

He pulled out before the tournament started, but after the draw was made.

Draw shows, Kohlscriber/Berdych for tomorrow, w/ Berdych taking Sod's seeded place as #17 seed in a tourney w/ only 16 seeds. The Kohly/Melzer was a mistake on my part, it will be Kohly/Berdych, not a w/o for Kohly.

Its a walk over, not a cancellation. Soderling withdrew due to a sore elbow, but will be fine for Cincy and Us Open.

Why? Nadal has beaten him in the past . The more practice he has against opponents the better

Matches are cancelled when one of the players is not there.

The players withdrew from the tournament...you do not have walk overs from someone who is not in the tournament...they're out of town and can't walk over to anyone at the tournament.

A walk over would occur if the guy was in the tournament and decided to withdraw ...injury? family crisis?

Canada can lay claim to butter tarts, but not to walk overs.
