This was a question I was just asking myself as I am currently watching the Davydenko/Chardy match. Davydenko seems to have a very fast swing, but who has the fastest? Federer obviously is up there :)

Yes, Nadal Fed and Gonzo is probably at the top, compared to Murray who has relatively slow swingspeed

Kohlschreiber has very fast racquet head speed off both wings.

It must be Nadal, Verdasco, and Gonzalez. Gulbis too once he stops losing in qualifiers.

Nadal's forehand probably.
I agree, sometimes I have a feeling he's using a whip instead of a tennis racket.
And as for women's circut, I think Henin had the fastest swing speed. I mean, she was so small and yet she was able to generate so much pace. Her racket head speed was just out of this world.

nadal has the biggest forehand swing speed id almost bet the farm on. backhand is a toss up.
swing speed doesnt neccesarily translate into ball velocity. swing speed is divided into 2 parts of the shot, spin and velocity and its divided differently depending on the amount of spin used.
backhand side might possibly be a 1 hander, becuase it takes more swing speed to make up for the extra muscles of a 2 hander to match the speed. this one im unsure on though.

gonzo hits the hardest for sure, but you really think his racquet moves thru the air faster than rafas?

As fast as Fed's is and as much as I like Fed's forehand, Rafa imparts more RPM on the ball than anyone else on the tour due to his swing speed.

Since Roddick has the fastest serve, and players tend to swing the fastest when they serve, Roddick must have the fastest swing speed.
