So I purchased only a set of it and put it in the mains at 54 with gosen og sheep 17 in the crosses at 56 on a MG rad Pro. First Day was a great experiance but my second round in my tournament it was a complete turn around. It felt flat and way more soft than my previous match. The third day in warm up the mains snapped and frayed. Not so pumped about it. It was gonna be my first move up to a high performance string but now i think i might as well just stick with technifibre polyspin for my mains. Strung at the same tension it out performs Focus Hex and if you compare durability, it's night and day. The spin wasn't as amazing as advertised either and I find Polyspin hits just as fine in the spin catagory*. Maybe when i play at college and get it for free I might string my racquets up every night, but right now definitly not worth the effort or money. I guess it proved me right. The expensive stuff always is a waste of your money.

*The black color looked more like a dark blue.

I had a totally different experience with MSV Hex, I really have enjoyed this string and amount of spin I get from it.

I haven't come across your issues either, and I use MSV hex 1.10 at 60. Only issues I have sometimes is that it takes a day to break in, first day it feels flat at times. Great spin, control and power. Not pricey at all either

When the string came out there was much hype associated with it. I too tried it out and did not like it all. But unlike you, I felt it to be dead and rather stiff. Oh well, it was worth a try.

I think the Hex 1.10 gives more feel and spin and power, but propbably won't last you as long.

Hex 1.18, IMO, played like an average poly.

yeah I can't find any expensive Poly's that are as reliable as my polyspin. Even Lux Alu Rough broke in two days worth of hitting. Sure Performance was great but not worth $18 to hit around with my friends for two days.

spiky shark and pro-line are good and somewhat cheaper

ehhh, I might just stick with technifibre Polyspin. 39.99 and pound for pound it can't be beat in my opinion.

hoodjem, nice to read that coming from you. I took your advice on the PLII and I don't regret it at all, I'm 100% happy with this string, but the curiosity over the MSV Focus was somehow itchy on me.

Now I can take it off of my head.:)

Hey Supra, I'll definitly try it, but I was looking to get a 1.10mm set. The one I have is 1.18mm...

I absolutely love this string, i just crushed 3 of my partners in 3 straight days. I had the 1.18mm, white version (although i would have bought the 1.10mm had it been available).

PLII is next on the list i guess, just after WC Silverstring which also has received a lot of love lately.
