im using a racket that has a 16x18 pattern, and i absolutely LOVE the racket, the thing is I only have 1 of them, and i have a tournament this weekend.

my question is, what is a more durable set up: full poly, or, poly mains/syn gut crosses?

thanks

thanks,

forgot to mention- i break a full poly (1.25 mm) set up in less than an hour of good hitting with this racket.

anyone else? the poly crosses just saws right through the mains, so i was thinking that maybe the syn gut crosses would help with the durablilty

no stick with the full poly, syn gut will get eaten up by the poly if it is textured.

If you're playing in any tournaments, you should always have a second racquet (if you can and money allows), no matter what the durability is of the strings in your current racquet. It's just "one of those things". If money's tight, at least try to buy something on the clearance section of TW, or try to find a good used deal on ****, or something.

i know i know, but its more bad luck why i dont have more. i was supposed to get some from the company that i use but they couldnt get them to me in time for the tournament.
