So what's the story behind this TW?

Chris mentioned that it is a top secret testing facility hidden in the warehouse

That's so awesome to have a tennis court basically in the same building you work in.

They're developing a new witchcraft racquet similar to that of Roger Federer's. Soon, they will have a racquet that has a frame made of steel, tension up in the 400+ range, and be able to perform special attack shots such as make the ball stick in the ground and be unreturnable. Also, it can be used as a spatula.

If it is still here, I guess we didn't miss it. :-)
Interesting how no TW peeps answered this though.

Our color choices were narrowed down to blue or green. We went with green as the ball shows up pretty well on a green court and we knew we'd be shooting a lot of video.

I do have to walk down some stairs and across a large warehouse to get to the court, but even with that hardship, yes it is extremely convenient.

Sorry for missing this thread before.

Oh, boo hoo. ;) (Yes I know you were being sarcastic re: hardship). I personally like blue for video, but I imagine it also costed more. It's my dream to have a personal, covered hard court :)

Right! If only we all had the money to build our own courts :(

If you actually go by TW in SLO and ask to see the court they will show you. Its pretty tight, with the bball hoops. And the surface is SUPER slow. Just ask one of the dudes working a the front, they are all extremely nice

Funny, the last two posts were about driving through "slo", and it made me think huh, Slovakia? Though I have lived in LA for almost 15 years now, I have never wanted to venture up to San Luis Obisbo. It is as the dating community here in LA refers to dating someone living across town, they are GU-- geographically undesirable. It looks to be pretty far west of the 5 freeway that most Californians like to use to travel north and south on. And this begs the question: Why doesn't TW open up a few smaller, retail shops in areas of hotbed tennis activity? San Diego, LA, Miami, and of course Fargo, ND (um, that last one was a joke). Still, I wouldn't mind walking into a retail shop the size of a CVS or Walgreens where it was just about tennis. Most of the tennis shops in LA aren't very good, except one which I don't want to mention out of respect for our beloved TW.
