I use a stock mg prestige pro built up to a L4 from L3. I also use a head damper that came with it. I am a 3.5 all courter. Serves, forehands, and volleys are my strengths. High School senior, 17 y/o 6'1" 135 lbs. I used full kirschbaum competition 17g at 56 lbs and it was a love hate thing. too inconsistent for me. I tried lightning mains and competition crosses and thought it was ok, nothing to write home about. I am now using msv focus hex with bbo and its alrite, not enough spin and power though. I'm looking for a string with power and spin. I know the string doesnt make the spin but i want one that helps. I'm thinking of trying bb alu rough but its too expensive. I have a good deal with kirschbaum right now so if anyone can think of a string/combo from kirschbaum that would be great. Thanks

I am and I use competition in 17g. What gauge do you use? Do you get a lot of power and spin potential out of it?

T1000, I'm curently using Kirsch PLII 1.15mm and I'm loving it. Very soft and comfortable for a poly( it's a 3rd genetarion co-poly ) and provides you great control while being able to generate enough power when needed.

It's not very durable, especially for string breakers, but I guess that 1.20mm and 1.25mm shouldn't play so differently.

Cheers,

It also provides me great spin potential( note that I'm saying potential ), at least better than pro Supex Big Ace Micro. It also moves a lot less.

Thanks dadozen i might try it. I used it a couple times in the 16g and hated it, not playability at all (in another racquet) I'll give it another go, hopefully I like it. It'll also look good with the prestige paintjob

Put down the string and gain some weight.
