I switched from topspin cyberflash and pro supex blue gear to black code because it holds tension a lot better, which is a priority of mine. I have been using it for about 3-4 months now, and I find it is just too stiff. Is there a poly that plays similar and has to hold tension just as well if not better, but feels soft?

Genesis Black Magic. It is a soft co-poly. Tension maintenance is also good.

Uh.....what about a string on TW?

SPPP is softer. PL2 and Cyberblue might also be up your alley. BC is pretty forgiving for a poly, though.

What is big ace like? Is tension hold good?

Yeah big ace holds tension really well. One of the best poly's I've tried in that department. It's relatively soft compared to other polys and overall it's a really good string.

Luxilon Alu Power Fluoro 123 and M2 are among the softest strings made in the poly/co-poly category.

I would put MSV Focus, SPPP, Cyberblue and PL2 on around a par in terms of softness with blackcode, similar with other copolys really. Big Ace feels softer (but a more muted feel I think) and SPPP Pure also (marginal). They are all on the soft end though. I'm surprised you are finding it stiff coming from CyberFlash.

Hope it helps, Cheers, Orig

I haven't tried this yet, how does it compare to other polys you've tried?

I found BA to be soft, but very low-powered and very muted. Couldn't use a full BA stringjob.

I'm using PLII 1.15mm and I really like it, is somehow crispy, yet very soft and comfortable, giving great control, even using it @ lower tensions than what I used to, and provides me enough power.

BAM is also very similar to PLII, but is even softer, moves a bit more and doesn't hold the tension as well as pLII does. That's just my opinion though.
