I am 95% sure I'm going to get this racquet, but I'm not sure about the grip size. The demo I got was a 4 1/2 size, I didn't put an overgrip on, and it felt perfect. When I get it, I'm definately going to use an overgip since I don't want to have to replace the original grip every time. I wrapped an overgrip around it and it felt a little big. I would just use two overgrips with a 4 3/8 size, but then I don't think I would be able to feel the bevels. So, how do I get as close as possible to the 4 1/2 grip size while still using an overgrip?

Some I've thought of:

4 3/8 grip with one overgrip
4 1/2 grip with one overgrip
4 3/8 grip with two overgrips (not preferable)

Any other suggestions to get as close as possible to 4 1/2?

get your true grip-size.

Do you have this experience with just Babolat grips or others too?

I use a 4 1/2 in Wilson and just got a pair of PDR GT's at 4 3/8 and with a gamma supreme which is a thicker overgrip, it feels perfect. If I were you, I'd go with the 4 3/8. If you find it too small, its still easier to go from smaller to bigger anyways.

Babolat has always been known to run a little large for any given size. I am not sure this still holds true as much as before, but it's probably a safe bet.

Either way, I can gaurantee you, they do not run small. So if you want exactly 4-1/2 with an overgrip, you're only chance is to buy a grip smaller than 4-1/2". So, I vote for 4-3/8".

Get the 3/8. You can use thick OGs and they will solve the problem. If you get the 1/2, and you already know it felt big, you'll have to use replacement grips only.

I use a PDR GT+ at 4 3/8 with gamma supreme and you can still feel the bevels. Go small and add, because you can't really go the other way.

Thanks for the help guys. Can anyone recommend any other overgrips that seem to be a little thicker?

Wilson Pro overgrips are a little thicker.

4 3/8 add a 1/2 shrink sleave plus an overgrip.

How do I add a shrink sleeve?

or "jury rig" your grip to make up for it. if you where to remove the grip babolat provides you will find a "sheet" of sticky celophane & once that s removed and a new grip is in place you will find the babolat grip to be very very true to size.
