What was the mans name that Gatsby met after he was out of the army who helped him on his way to wealth? I want to say something like Wolfsheim but idk lol

i didnt like that book, i read it last year, junior year. Well actually i red sparknotes and the first chapter of the real book

Overall, coming from a person who doesn't like reading. The book was decent it was kinda flat for me until the end. I like action =D

I never liked it (probably because of the 'forced' aspect). I believe students should have a reading list they can select from and know the curriculum in advance so they can read over the summer if they choose.

CC i had no choice but to read it over the summer since i have to do 4 essays for AP Comp lol. The other book we had to read was Nickle and Dimed. God how i hated that

Yeah I remember I had to read it for 11th grade. I didnt complain to much because compared to HuckleBerry Finn and Scarlett Leter (:shock:) , this book was like Harry Potter. :lol:

My two favorite books so far that i had to read in school (High School) are Probably Animal Farm and Lord of the Flies. Two books that my friends say are terrible i like lol. Favorite short story though has got to be Most Dangerous Game. Gotta love Zaroff the man hunter!
