As there are totally different 'requirements' for playing single and double, it seems reasonable to have different racquets to play both. eg. good maneuverability for double while good groundstroke for single. Or you have another opinion? Thanks.
It's not unheard of, Once I get in a serving groove with one racket, I don't want to lose it by switching rackets to play a different event. The biggest changes I usually do are 6.0 85 to 95 or HPS 6.1. Similar rackets, I usually play with one for a few weeks at a time rather than switching them daily.
If one is a baseliner, one may want to go to a different racquet for doubles as it is mostly a net game. Having something a bit mroe maneuverable sometimes helps some folks.
