I tried really hard to like the KSwiss Defier RS, but the outsole/tread was just too stiff for me. It was like ski boots. I like shoes more like slippers (Head Games Low, Wilson Tour Spin) which are flexible in the outsole/tread especially around the ball of the foot. It seems that the Barricades are like ski boots too, but lots of people like them. I'm going to be investigating some new shoes in the Prince line to get my "slipper" like fit: Prince T-10, T-20, QT Scream Low, MV4, and Viper V. I'm probably going to go with the Viper V.

1)What are your opinions of the Prince shoes that I mentioned as far as sole stiffness? I like flexible soles "slipper" instead of stiff soles "ski boots".
2)I like shoes that have out of the box comfort. How do the Prince shoes rate as far as out of the box comfort?
3)Which other shoes would you recommend as far as "slipper' like sole that is relative flexible and out of the box comfort?

Billy, I just bought a pair of women's T-22 (don't worry, I am a female), and they definitely are easy to use right out of the box and have a soft, flexi feel to them. You might try that line, or I would imagine the other Prince shoes would feel similar.

Asics is another brand that is consistently comfortable right out of the box for me, and I have worn the men's models. Maybe another option.

I have the prince t-20s and I think they are good shoes. It was very flexible, soft, and cushioned. The bad thing is these shoes arent very stable. They give you an insecure feeling. I personally prefer the skiboot like fit(i use Barricade Vs before and after the t-20s). If you dont make lots of quick sudden stops at high speeds, then i recommend the T-20s. The bottoms smoothed after 4-5 months though.

Hey John, yes, the joys of high altitude tennis - and the sun, and the wind :) Can't really complain one bit though. Howl Lobos!!!

Unfortunately, my evening of tennis just got rained out by the usual evening thunderstorm that lasts about 15 min., just long enough to wet the courts and bring the evening winds. I was going to trial the Prince's for you. So far only walked around the house in them, but they are definitely slipper soft.
