Found these in my mom's closet? Are they "the ones"? Or?

Butt caps say:

JWQ on one

HRO on one

Pro Staff Mid Size (85)

Curious as to what they are.

Thank you

you just said it yourself, you have a pro staff 85

The one you're featuring is an early St. Vincent.

The other one could be a Taiwanese one.

Could you post similar pics of the other frame?

But, the thoat grommets look tall on both like Chicago and early St. Vincents too.

It looks like the leather grip was replaced. Perhaps the buttcap was replaced as well.

very rare pro staff. impossible to find on e-ba-y.

Not impossible at all.....

Pricey, definitely.

In looking more closely at your pics, the throat stickers on both sure look like Chicago/St. Vincent grip size/weight-balance stickers.

Seems to me you've got two early St. Vincents, one with a buttcap replacement.

Did your mom let you have them?

Just walked back in from work.

Yea. They were laying in my mom's 'junk racket bin'....

The one grip is an original Fairway, the other is 'pro SUPEX'

Just realized the one with the Fairway is brand new, never strung, never hit with. Not a mark.

Here's a couple more pics:

I think you posted these pictures just to make all the Sampras wannabes jealous.

I think the HRO has a poorly transferred Q.

You've got two St. Vincents.

Now, what do you plan to do with them?

I think you posted these pictures just to make all the Sampras wannabes jealous.

I agree, he's asking what these racquets are when all he has to do is read the writing on the racquets. He even mentioned if they are Wilson PS85's. This is definitely a troll thread.

Those racquets are junk. Shoot me an email and I'll send you $50 for the both of of them.

I wasn't "trolling". I just wasn't quite sure if there was some 'factory' difference. I DID walk into a racket store, the guy took a glance, and said they aren't worth much, so I thought maybe there was a "just a Pro Staff 85", and then there was THE St. Vincent model.

Sorry to upset you so, Quest1, but I was out of the game for over 23 years or so. I've read all about racket 'copies' and how " 'made there' isn't the one" kind of stuff, how Head Taiwan isn't Head Austria, etc., and, as a racket shop wasn't impressed (and made no offer to 'take them off my hands'), I just assumed they were a 'standard' Pro Staff - nothing 'special', and that's why I asked. Not to **** you off.

What will I do? Not sure. I played Quali's and Sats', so maybe string up the used one and see what the magic was all about that I missed. Doubt I'll keep them, in the end, as I don't think I'll play seriously with them for matches and whatnot, but it would be fun to give one a go.

PS... Yea, Meant to type Q. Does look like on O on that one buttcap, but I'd read somewhere that some people knew what those signified, so that's why I posted them.

My thanks to all the others for the feedback....Gotta go. 3 hours of drilling.

Wow, your mom has some big hands (L5).

I don't know what she was doing with them, but she was sponsored by Wilson. Have to get into more detail next time I see her of the whys and hows. She did play with the Wilson T2000 and liked it, and she held National rankings through many age groups, so I could see her with this frame, and to be honest, this 5/8's feels quite small to today's stuff. Why, I don't know. May have been reduced??

Any suggestions on a great string and tension? I play with the K90 Tour right now, but have been demo-ing lots of new stuff. String up the used one and dabble for fun.
