What does it play similar to? im thinking about changing rackets from my k6.1 95 16x18 and was looking at either this or the yonnex rds 001

there are a few threads that talked about this earlier if you want more info. the RDS 001 MP i'm assuming? between those two, the RDS 001 Mid is probably the closest. the MP just isn't as hefty IMO.

the donnay is quite a bit more flexy than the k6.1. i would say the rds001 is closer to the donnay. i'd also recommend trying the c10 pro or pb10 mid

I've transitioned from my old 6.1 Classics to the Volkl C10 Pro, too. It took me a while to really settle in with these frames, but as soon as I started playing them, I was more comfortable and consistent from the baseline. With a bit more flex, I get more spin when I want it, but this Volkl is nice and stable so I can crunch my serves or pop decent volleys just about the same as I can with my old Wilsons.

The Donnay is a wonderful "old school" frame with even more flex and exceptional feel. There's a little less pop for me in this racquet, which can be noticeable when I want to serve hard, volley with real authority, or hit a solid block return of serve. Superior control with the Donnay makes it a lot of fun, but I can hit harder or softer with my C10's and they're also really comfortable for me.

The mids from Volkl and Boris Becker might be interesting along with the newer Rebel and Ignite (looks a lot stiffer than the Rebel) in Prince's EXO3 line. I like to read the feedback on frames to see what other racquets the players compare them against. It can be helpful when you find a frame that replaced the k 95 (in your case) for a few hitters, especially when they discuss the differences.

they play very similair to the dunlop muscle weave 200g. the k6.1 plays nothing like it at all, the rds 001 is a little bit like it but not really. the c10 pro is similair as well as the i.prestige mid.

What sort of transition are you making? I grew up playing serve and volley and I needed to put in a lot of work to get more solid abilities at the baseline. Now I'm an all-courter and I still like to move forward a lot, but I got a lot more control overall when I tried some more flexible racquets.

Let us know if you've tried any other frames and share your observations, likes, dislikes, etc. When I started looking around, I became acutely aware of how much I like a rather hefty racquet with around 9-10 pts. head-light balance, but I can be happy with a wee mid or a 100 sq. inch midplus.

im moving from more power based with some s&v to a more angle based. like insted of hitting a hard down the line aproach im moving more to rolling it out side and opening the court for a volly winner. and i make to many net airs so im starting to play more high % shots
