Racquet help

Hey, thanks for any feedback. I just started playing tennis a bit ago, and I got a racquet from a buddy and it seems like a nice stick to me but it says "demo" on it. Does anyone know what that means? I didn't know if it was a cheaper model of a racquet or what. Thanks for the help.

It is probably a racket that had been used by a shop as a demo. Once the shop finished with it, it was probably purchased at a big discount.
