Q: Novak, you just said that you didn't play your best, but you certainly played with your heart out there. Do you sort feel like that if you played any other human being in the world out there tonight, the way you played that you'd be the victor?
Well it's hard to say. It's hard to predict anything in this sport, in any sport. It's a semifinals of a Grand Slam, I'm playing a god .. guy, who won five consequtive Grand Slams.... eh, US Opens so...

a GOD, that's right, novak! :D

Freudian slip usually refers to something sexual or intimate being revealed. I don't see that being the case here.

Contrary to popular opinion Freud cannot be summed up in the word sex. A Freudian slip is the insertion of a subconcious thought in concious speech. This quote is a classic example.

i don't think admiration/respect for Fed affects players like Novak in terms of their belief and drive to win.

Fed is just too good.

This is correct.

Nadal too still believe Federer is the best subconciously.

I gotta say Novak really got his act together this year. He has become really likeable for me and is not so arrogant anymore.

True, although it is better known as "Lapsus", in this specific case, Lapsus Linguae

do you have the link to the presser, they didn't put it up on usopen.org. They put everyone else's interviews, but for some reason not djokovic's.
