I think parents usually give a decent estimatation as to how tall you'd grow. You'll most likely keep growing, since you're only as tall as your mum at the moment.. Even though men "officially" stop growing at around 21, I noticed from my school days that most of the guys slowed down a lot by age 16, and it was mainly the shorter guys that kept growing after that age.. A lot of the guys I see out of highschool are still the same height from when I last saw them and the most i've seen anyone grow after HS was like 2 inches.

Find your baby book. Double your height (if you're a boy) at 24 months. 18 months if you're a girl. That will be a good approximation within 1.5-2 inches.

Well, I think for most people, you're doing well to get 2 inches after highschool. I notice lot of guys, like myself, basically had little growth after the age of 14. Since puberty is apparently starting earlier and earlier, it wouldn't surpris me if it were more common these days.

I wouldn't count on it :(. I have been 5' 10 since I was in 14 and I'm 19 now so I don't anticipate getting any taller. My parents are both shorter than I am though ( 5' 6 and 5' 8) so maybe it'll be different from you. Impossible to tell, really.

That would make me about 5' tall.

Use this to predict your adult height, I found it to be quite accurate:http://www.kidsgrowth.com/hc/height.cfm

You have to look at both the parents and grandparents for at lest some accuracy. How tall is/was the grandfathers?
My father at his tallest was about 5'7". My mother 5'4"
Her father was 5'11"
Her mother was 5'1".

My sister is 5'2" and I'm about 5'9".

It depends on when they had their growth spurts and how many they had. Fed could've been 5'5 for all we know without official measurements.
For instance, when I was 15, I was about 5'10, then I had a growth spurt and grew to 6'2 and I stayed that way till just recently when I grew to 6'4 and I'm 17 almost 18.

Thats true it really depends on when someone matures. In my middle school some kids where alot taller than me and were shaving at the age of 13, but they are usually done growing at that point, and now I'm alot taller than any of them.

Yeah probably going to be a late sprouter lol, like I said at my age my dad was 5'5 going in high school, im 5'7, also his brother at this age was 5'9 and now hes only 5'10. I think its people who are shorter during beginning of high school with taller fathers are the ones who grow taller during high school compared to the people who are 6'0 at grade 9 and stay that height. btw my high school is grade 10-12. Im also lift weights twice a week for strength at tennis, but not too heavy plus i do full body.(dont know if this make difference)

anyone agree with me?

Also, feel free to how tall you were at 15 and how tall you are now, give me some hope :)

It's pretty accurate. That's about my height. Since graduating High School I don't think I've grown much. I already have a full beard, does that mean anything as far as the development stage is concerned? Anybody know?

the most i've seen anyone grow after HS was like 2 inches.

... really? my dad was 4'10 after graduating from hs. He grew to 5' after finishing 1st year of college, 5'4 after finishing 2nd year, 5'6 after his 3rd, 5'9 after his 4th, and grew an extra inch somewhere along the line to become 5'10... this isn't that rare apparently for Indians, which my dad is. My mom also grew a couple inches after HS, which was rare because she is of course a woman.

Since puberty is apparently starting earlier and earlier, it wouldn't surpris me if it were more common these days.

???

I know a 16 year old kid who looks younger than my 9yearold younger brother. He is 4'8 and has a higher-pitched voice than my 5 year old cousin. He has never shaved, obviously either. Anyway, I know a lot of kids in my grade that look like they are easily 5 years younger, this is not that rare. I know very few people that physically matured earlier than the age of 13. I myself, except for my height, look around 10 years old.

lucker lol,

i knew a kid who was 6'8 at 14. I guess the tall people stop growing early, while the short people grow late...

There is no "rule" about groing. I am 5'11" since I was 14-16 and now I'm 20 yo

I agree, I was 5'10" 13-14 and reached my peak 6'3" at 16-17... Hope I got those the right way around, I'm a metric user!
