Is it odd that I use a eastern forehand grip and a semi-western backhand grip?
I tried to teach myself the eastern backhand grip, but I couldn't stop my self from always going into the semi-western position. My mind would put my hand at that position every time even when I was making an effort to not do it lol.
The problem I am having is when I'm trying to go for a down the line shot with my backhand. I feel I have to much topspin on the shot, allowing my opponent to get to the shot. I feel if I could learn the eastern grip it would help with that (flattening it out).
Is it a good thing to have two different backhand grips? Or should I just stick to one?
