How did Roddick secure a spot in London ATP Tour Finals? If he is injured for this 2 weeks and didn't play, he also lost in the first round at Shanghai, so what did he do to qualify? Was it just that a player lost in the first round of a moscow or whereever else tournament?

He was already pretty far ahead of the other contenders for a while now. There was still the possibility of him not qualifying, theoretically, if the 7th-8th-9th players basically split all of the remaining titles/finals in just the right way... but they didn't, and so now he's officially qualified.

HoW did Roddick......become such a jerk.

And man, IMO he was worse in 04-05, and this isn't about his attitude, it's about how he qualified.

Roddick has been solid all year that's how. Jerk or not the guy is having an amazing year and has improved his tennis game at the age of 26-27. He deserves to be there plain and simple.

Roddick should qualify hes played well all year. He made it it to the semis at Australia, his best ever at the French, finalist at Wimbledon where he came so close to winning, and nowhere at the US Open. The only negatives were the us open and the phantom knee injury in Shanghai, other then that hes done well.

There weren't enough points left in the next few tournaments for anyone drop Roddick below the cut-off.

I still find all the Roddick hating funny. I won't go through all of his accomplishments so far, but just say that this is his seventh consecutive year to qualify - a streak below only Federer's eight. A bigger surprise would be if he didn't qualify.

yeah..he cracked. 3 forehand shanks in that game alone. kinda out of nowhere, too. it's like once the commentators said he was looking the fresher of the two, and had to work out how to break, he fell to pieces.

ya. it is very funny that all the commentators say Roddick has qualified, but Davydenko didn't. Davydenko is no 6 ahead of Roddick.

Davydenko is 6th in the rankings but he is still 7th in the race. He hasn't qualified yet. He probably won't qualify until Paris.
