I just got a set string which is Tecnifibre Blackcode 17 from my friend, but not like the other strings, it has no words printed on the string, just all black. So do I get a fake string or its normal? It has a pentagonal (five sided) cross-section, not like the others I have ever used.

Black Code is a pentagonal shaped string so you probably got the real deal. Also many times polys do not have anything printed on them.

Yep I regularly use Black code and it does not have any writing on it.
Just string it up and enjoy.

A very nice co-poly with a lot of spin potential.

how do you rate blackcodes' power? are they "cutting" into strings (since they are shaped). thanks!

It doesn't pop off the strings ): it think about it as dead strings=body fat all jiggly and worthless and strings that aren't dead are like muscles :)
