what are your thoughts on tecnifibre's redcode? as a full setup or hybrid?

I never like this Red Code too much. My feeling prefers more softness string even for poly kinds. Same brand makes Black Code for softness plus spin plus some good life span. Red Code though is more durable life span for breaking or not.

I use it as a full. It is my favorite full job, and my second favorite overall (babolat vs gut 17g/luxilon alu power/rough is first) My only problem with it is lack of feel on volleys and touch shots, since I serve and volley it doesn't help in that aspect. I love it from the ground and on serve though. Another problem for me was lack of durability. Only lasted me between 8-10 hours.

could anyone compare it to say alu power or pro hurricane tour?

Hybrid it with a Synthetic gut :]

Everyone seeems to have their own experience with any strings but I found the redcode to have a softer, more cushioned feel than alu power (all luxilon strings have felt stiff & board-like with a fresh string job except M2) Luxilon strings are the best strings I've ever played with but had to switch due to elbow pain. Redcode gives me nearly as good spin & control but with comfort - people report it's still a stiff string but after using Luxilon big banger ace, alu, & rough for the previous 2 yrs, redcode nearly felt like synthetic gut to me. I had to switch & it's worked out well for me, I use a full string job & the string has great durability & tension maintenance - I still have trouble trying to figure out if the string is still good or needs to be cut out sometimes cuz it lasts so long

I'm using it as main with tecnifibre synthetic gut (that yellow one) at 25kgs and i kinda like it..
It plays soft and i can rip the ball keeping the ball in.
Don't string it too tight if you never used it. Redcode is very low powered,
you will see that when you start to serve.

i want to hybrid it with x-one though.
