View Full Version : Would hybriding MSV ruin its spin potential?

I love the MSV huge spin potential. However, I hope to hybrid it to make more durable and last longer. Do you think a hybrid would significantly compromise the huge spin potential of MSV. Do you think it would be worth it?

Hm, if you're going to hybrid it with a softer string the durability factor is going to be subpar to the full bed of MSV. In my opinion...full bed!

i've actually only tried msv in hybrid form...is the full bed that much better? i'm definitely loving it so far...but if putting it in as a full bed makes it even better, then i might have to try that...

On full setup I feel it causes too many vibrations plus loses tension too fast. I can recomend a hybrid with synthetic for more comfort and to offset the tension loss. I like OG MicroSheep 17 its cheap and performs well.

Something along the lines of Spiral Flex (or PSGD if that's your thing) or FT Ruff will be fine as a cross.

I've only tried it in a hybrid and I doubt it will have much more spin potential in full.
