This seems to be the latest string co-poly manufacturing process. Signum has their "Tornado", Genesis has "Spin X", Gamma has "Zo Twisted", Topspin is coming out with their new one "Twirl ??". I'm sure I missed a bunch of others as well.
What have you guys tried? I'm looking for something with extra bite but also with good tension maintenance and softness. Thanks.

Have you tried MSV HEX?
It's not "twisted" co-poly but hex shaped. If you want more spin, definitely as string to check out!

this week i've tried the weiss cannon turbotwists which has been pretty decent (in an open string pattern frame which already produces a lot of spin) -- i'm curious to see how it performs in my normal 18 x 20 setup...

It does seem as the twisted polys are starting to catch on. Also many other companies are making special strings with textures and so on. Good to see string technology is evolving.

Genesis Spin X is another excellent "twisted" co-poly, although I prefer hex shaped Genesis Black magic.

Why do you prefer Black Magic?

Softer, better bite for me. Spin X is a better choice for bigger hitters IMO. Not that I do not like SpinX, but I am an old guy so softness/comfort in poly is the number one criterion me. After that I look for what gives me maximum bite on the ball. When I find co-poly with these characteristics I find that feel/touch is pretty much in the same ballpark, with only subtle variation.

What I've read and what I been told, Spin X gives a lot spin and power. Produces a heavy ball.

black magic is hex shaped???

If so, does someone know how it compares with MSV hex, or SPPP hex, particularly in tension retention?
