Is this normal after 5-6 hitting sessions?

Hi folks, I have a Babolat Roddick Pure Drive GT and got it strung with Gamma Livewire XP 16 and after hitting just 5-6 times over the past 2 months (1-1.5 hr hitting sessions) my strings look awful. I hit with top spin and hit reasonably hard but are the following pics the result of a bad string job (got it done at sports authority, strung at 62 after my Big Bangers that were strung through TW when I bought the racquet popped after hitting 4-5 times) or are strings nowadays less durable? Any suggestions on relatively more durable strings with decent playability are appreciated. I played in college 10+ years ago (grad in 99) and don't remember going through strings like this, used Toa Spin X (textured nylons) and some of the prince spin strings so the poly, kevlar, etc is all new to me. Felt that the luxilon stuff was strange as it never notched, the livewires felt ok but just got it because of the lack of other stuff at Sports Authority. Now I'd like to dial in on a decent set of strings. Thanks.

yepp totally normal. try using string savers to make it last longer

Looks like your multi is fraying. I think it's reasonalbe considering you played in college. I don't think it's a bad job, even though I don't like Sports Authority's stringing. Most multis don't last long, and 5 hitting sessions will probably produce that kind of fraying for you. I reccomend the isospeed strings if you want more durability in a multi. Of course, you can always try Polyester and Kevlar. Considering you popped big banger after hitting 5 times, I'm gonna say you're an absolute beast

I strung my racquet up with Gamma Live Wire 16 and they frayed during stringing.....

If you're looking for durability, try a 15L Poly. Even after poly's go dead they don't break for quite some time. 15L will give you tremendous durability, but not much playability.
