Is there any ?A satellite tournament is USTA type of tournament for juniors and it's a mid level category. (It's between novice & championship levels). Some states/sections use slightly different descriptions for it.
A futures tournament is an ITF (International Tennis Federation) tournament for men. It's a pro level.

A few years back there were professional satellite tournaments on the men side but they were discontinued. Now we have Futures. From the ITF website: Satellite Circuits (discontinued: end of 2006)
A Satellite Circuit must be comprised of four (4) Satellite tournaments, the final tournament of which is a Satellite Masters tournament, and shall be organised by a National Association(s). Each tournament must offer at least $6,250 in prize money.
